Curriculum for Pre-Alim Levels 1-2

Pre-Alim Levels 1-2 Classes

Pre-alim level classes run for 9+ years. This course is designed to prepare the learners for the full Alim course (the Alimiyyah Programme).

Course includes:
There are two levels of Pre Alim Classes. The students who can read the Quranic text with basic tajweed rules, will focus more on gaining fluency and learning more advanced tajweed rules in order to read the Quran by applying the tajweed rules correctly.

They will also be taught Qur’an, surah memorisation with meaning, Duas, Fiqh, Hadith, Aqeedah, Seerah and Arabic Language.

Curriculum for Foundation Level 1-3

Foundation level classes run for 4+ years to 9 years. As children start their journey with Qurtubah Institute, we encourage them to recite correctly through whole class recitation. Children learn through practical demonstration and interactive modes of teaching.

Topics and activities include:
Qaida, surah memorisation, daily duas, steps to wudu and salat, prophets’ stories, short hadith memorisation with meaning, basic Arabic words and phrases, nasheeds and Islamic arts.

Curriculum for Foundation Level 1

  • Read through Ahsanul Qawaid, focussing on correct pronunciation of letters and fluency.
Tajweed
  • Pronounce Arabic Alphabets correctly.
Surah Memorisation
  • Kalimah Tayyibah, Kalimah Shahadah, Surah Al Fatiha to Surah Ikhlaas (4 surahs with correct pronunciation). We aim for fluent memorisation and for higher achievers, complete up to Surah Fil.
Hadith
  • Memorise 10 short hadiths with meaning and learn basic lesson behind each hadith.
Fiqh
  • Tasheelul Fiqh 1

  • Tasheelul Taarikh 1
  • Basic understanding of Tawhid, Risalah and Akhirah (5 pillars of Islam) taught from various teaching material.

Children’s Courses

We offer a number of classes for children, starting from 4+ years. The classes are small in size and taught with modern teaching facilities and methods. Topics covered include: Qaida, Juzz Amma, Qur’an, Tajweed, Hadith, Fiqh, Islamic Studies, Aqeedah, Sirah and Arabic Language. Extra-curricular activities include: nasheeds, qirat and speech competition, football, arts and crafts.

Monday - Thursday: 10:00 am - 7:00 pm
Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
